We Offer


A diversified role within the Financial Crime Compliance team of the International Wealth Management (IWM) division in Luxembourg, covering Credit Suisse (Luxembourg) SA and its branches.


In this challenging position, you take on responsibility for:

  • Managing of ex ante filtering and post monitoring of transactions made for the Clients of Credit Suisse Luxembourg and its branches and regular screening of clients database;
  • Qualifying of hits, obtained through such ex ante, ex post monitoring and daily screenings, with due justification and documentation;
  • Reviewing, analyzing and controlling of KYC/CDD documentation, evaluating its accuracy and providing recommendations on updates and/or deficiencies in supporting / corroborative documents and information;
  • Assessing completeness and plausibility of the KYC/AML information and SOW/SOF in the client onboarding and ongoing due diligence process, to ensure consistency with all applicable regulations and guidelines, tax agreements and other legal and contractual guidelines;
  • Providing investigation of cases and assessment of ML/TF risks;
  • Ensuring at all times compliance with AML/CTF local regulatory requirements, applicable international / European guidelines and Credit Suisse internal standards;
  • Organizing efficient cooperation with the Client Facing Employees regarding all aspects of improving KYC/CDD deficiencies;
  • Providing analysis and qualification of PEPs hits and relationships;
  • Taking an active part in designing of alerts, testing of monitoring scenarios;
  • Reviewing pending transactions and blocked accounts;
  • Proposing enhancement of AML/CTF tools, systems and processes for better efficiency and maximum risk coverage, managing of change requests;
  • Regular interface with relevant staff members and Subject Matter Experts within Credit Suisse Luxembourg and globally for better articulation current and strategical tasks of AML/CTF framework;
  • Providing clear statistics of the hits and alerts processed, cases investigated, mitigating measures proposed;
  • Providing trainings on relevant topics;
  • You will take on the responsibility for conducting Enhanced Due Diligence, where necessary, and therefore make a substantial contribution to the decision making process at the on-boarding or ongoing due diligence of any high-risk relationship and confirming the plausibility of clients’ transactions (KYT side of the relationship);
  • You will assist the line manager and the entire Financial Crime Compliance team globally in AMLCTF and reputation risk assessments, remediation measures proposed by you will be of great importance and will be luckily implemented by Client Facing Employees;
  • You will assist Money Laundering Reporting Officer in providing answers for the demands of regulators within the framework of cooperation with authorities (CSSF, FIU, Judicial Police and Tax);
  • You provide advice on AML/CTF and KYC/CDD matters to the Client Facing Employees whilst regularly collaborating with control functions (e.g. with First Line of Defence Support, Compliance functions and other functions of Second line of defence and auditors);
  • You support regulatory/Audit requests (prepare documentation);
  • You support working groups and projects to improve the existing processes & procedures;
  • Through close collaboration with various partners across divisions, you build up a bank-wide network within an international environment;

You Offer


  • A university degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Compliance, Political Science, or International Relations, or alternatively you have completed a banking apprenticeship with further education in a relevant field;
  • You have gathered at least a 4-6 years of experience in Audit, Compliance, Business Risk Management or similar functions;
  • Experience in Private Banking and general knowledge of the Luxembourg fund industry are mandatory;
  • Sound experience in global banks is an additional asset;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Business understanding of French and/or German is required to be able to read KYCs, clients’ documentations, CRM database materials. Any other language would be an advantage;
  • You are able to fulfill an advisory role professionally whilst ensuring the independence of the Compliance function;
  • You are open, flexible, communicative and collaborative, being able to work and advise Front Office staff and Business Risk Management in an effective and efficient manner within a very demanding and dynamic environment; being able to fulfill an advisory role expertly whilst maintaining the control function at the same time;
  • You bring strong analytical, investigative, communication and problem solving skills, a detail-oriented mentality as well as enthusiasm for Legal, Compliance and Risk topics;
  • You have knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering regulations and Swiss CDB-rules with regard to KYC and KYT documentation;
  • You are a committed teammate with an independent, reliable and thorough way of working and a self-starter personality with a highly independent and dedicated approach;
  • Good MS Office skills, knowledge of tools such as Mantas, Fircosoft, goAML, e-file, FrontNet, ELAR are an additional asset.
