GRADEL produces and markets sputtering targets for the glass industry for more than 20 years. It developed and patented a new process of continuous casting for rotatable targets in 2014.


In order to increase its range of products GRADEL is looking for a



Student in material sciences (m/f)



with following profile requirements:


  • Master’s internship
  • Study with orientation on material sciences, specifically metallic materials
  • Knowledge about metallurgy of non-ferrous (Sn, Zn, Al) is considered as an asset
  • Practical approach, problem solving
  • Organised and methodical
  • Innovative and creative
  • Ability to work independently, good team player
  • Language skills: fluent in English/French


Key responsibilities:


  • Development of new grade of rotatable targets
  • Definition of production parameters
  • Test and validation of parameters
  • Development of reloading process for used targets
  • Development of recuperation process of backing tubes
  • Economic analysis


We offer a position in an innovative and creative environment with strong relationships with suppliers and other departments of the company (production, R&D, sales). The trainee will be integrated in the sputtering targets department. The position is based in Ellange, Luxembourg.
